I am so happy that in one night i got over 30 messages from people who favorite or commented this drawing.

I fell asleep at 2:30 in the morning doing this. I know its stupid but usually when i start on something i dont want to stop completly and put it away. If i do stop its probably to do something quick or whatever but never save it for later... although i do save my progress after every tiny stroke.

Well some people asked what steps i took to make this so here it is...

lots o layers^^

well ill number what i did first

1. cloud (i really stared at a blank canvas for like 30 min and my dad scolded me because he thought I was sleeping with my eyes open)
2. rainbow (each color was its own layer until i merged them)
3. Girl (black sillouette outline of the girl first) with an umbrella outline made from shaps (yeah i know its soooo exaggerated and out of proportion)
4. Girl's yellow dress( that was its own layer)
5. The duck
6. The star the duck held (to make it seem the duck was holding it i just erased parts of the star.
7. The stars
8. The rain drops
9. the darker part of the city
10. the lighter part of the city
11. the lights
12. the street posts and electrical cords (forgot what they were called)
13. the cloudy section where the girl and the duck are standing on
14. Toyed with the hues and color (made the city have blue tones instead of black and orange)
15. Toyed with the rainbows tones and added textures (locking each layer and using brushes for the textures)
16. Did the same thing with the clouds
17. Then again with the rain drops
18. once again with the umbrella
19. I added another layer and played with the brushes (added those loopy brush sparkle things.... um yeah....
20. the the stars on the lower part of the rainbow.... it was a brush affect (pretty neat right? Its my favorite brush in the program ^^-)
21. Finally I added the light effect on the star that the ducky was holding.

And voila c'est fini!!!

Mm ne? What exactly is vector art? I dunno if I've ever done anything like that, but I have used the vector tool, but I dunno what it does really @_@;;

this looks really cool~ almost like.. professional art? haha i don't know what's the right term to use n_n;; i like the different textures and the dulled out colors - very pretty!

=D I think you have as much chance as every other personage! Your art is brilliant and when it always comes to times in feeling so down as to compare your work to those of dA, never turn on it because you have such unique and absolutely CUTE works! >_< I've had tons of issues on comparing my junk but there's still that hope as to someone or something to want to like my stuff, right? The same (highly more) goes for you! =D I'd say GO FOR IT!!!

I'm study graphic design in the university in chile and ....It's not a question of having the skills before entering, the graphic design is not an art, therefore these skills to create as professional and with an purpose, which is to sell, you can be creating them in the way, very few ones we have the skill of being both artist and designers, that it is not the same thing, but an artist is born, A designer is created, like that that you should not say that you don't feel capable, is a thing of effort, and you're OK ^^.

I believe you should at at least give it a shot. Of course, you don't have to if you don't want to, but it would be a wonderful experience and may open more doors for you or give you more opportunites. I believe you have the talent for it. And you do not have to have constant creativity to do well.

You should really be more confident with yourself. Your work is fantastic ^^ you don't need to be so critical of yourself all the time!
